Detailed Breakdown of Client Go Live Steps

Store Settings

Ensure that all fields in the Store Settings section are completed. Any updates here are only applied when a new app version is built. This occurs during the initial go-live and subsequently when Loialcard releases new features.

Activate Loialcard as a Third Party Provider in GiT (Golf Clubs Only)

To enable features such as Golf-ID login, golf clubs must activate Loialcard as an approved third-party supplier in GiT.

In GiT, go to:
Inställningar / Klubb- och webbinfo / Sektion: "Aktivera tredjepartsleverantörer"

Disclaimer: Licens costs per certain features might apply.

Reinstall Live App Instead of Beta App

Most admins are set up as internal testers during onboarding. If they have only used Loialcard’s demo app "Loialcard Precious", this does not apply. However, if they accessed their own app via TestFlight (iOS) or a direct beta link (Android), they remain beta testers even after go-live, which can prevent automatic app updates. To experience the app like regular users, beta testers should:

  1. Delete the beta app.

  2. Download the live app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  3. Log in with the same credentials used in the beta app.

Inform About the App Being Live

Use multiple communication channels to promote the app, including:

  • Email newsletters

  • On-site materials featuring the QR code

  • Social media announcements

Also consider different ways to launch your app, to everyone at once or to some users at a time.

For examples of effective app launch communications, refer to:

Example 1:

NYHET!

Example 2:

Ny klubbapp!

Comments to some of the Loialcard Go Live Steps

App Screens

Loialcard generates App Screens once the app content is finalised. These are based on screenshots from the app, so elements like the home screen background and menu links must be set up in advance.

App Screens are accessible via a link in the Store Settings section of the administration tool.

Example of App Screens.

As presented in the App Stores:

Notify the client when the app is live in the App Stores

The go-live takes a few days. Also App Stores might reject the app and possible adjustments to Store Settings or content need to be performed. This makes it difficult to predict how long time it takes from Loialcard pushes the app for go live and until it is actually live and in the hands of the users. Also, at times the provisioning of the app is not to all users at once, but tiered in a process outside ot Loialcard's control.

Normally however, the go live takes about a few days to a week.
