Different Ways to Launch Your App

Explore soft launch and full launch options for your app, plus how visibility works once it's live in the app stores.

Updated over 6 months ago

When your app is ready in Loialcard, you have several options for how to launch it. Whether you prefer a soft rollout or a full-scale launch, here are a few common strategies used by our clients:

1. Soft Launch with Manual Member Approval

If you'd like to test the app with a smaller group first, you can activate Manual Member Approval in the admin panel. You can also make sure to get alerts when there is a member asking for approval.

Even though the app is live in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and can be downloaded by anyone, this feature gives you control over who gets access to the content. Here's how it works:

  • Users can download, install, and even create an account or log in.

  • But they won’t gain access to the logged-in sections of the app until you approve them manually.

This gives you the flexibility to run a quiet test phase while keeping access limited to trusted users or internal staff.

2. Invite-Only Testing

Another option is to only share the app download links with a small group—such as staff, board members, or loyal customers—for early feedback. This lets you fine-tune the content and overall user experience before making the app more widely known.

3. Full Launch with Announcement

When you’re ready to go public, make it official with a coordinated communication plan. Good channels to use include:

  • Email newsletters – Introduce the app and include direct download links.

  • Social media – Announce the launch with a post explaining the app’s value.

  • Website – Add app download badges or a banner linking to the app stores.

📌 A Note on App Store Visibility

Once your app is live in the App Store and Google Play, it is technically available for anyone to find and download. However, unless you promote it, the chances of it being discovered organically (especially in the early days) are low. This gives you the freedom to decide when and how to let people know.
