Events are presented as stand alone pages in the app but there is also a list of all historic and upcoming events, hence a menu link or a notification can either lead to a specific event or a listing of the upcoming events from where also passed events can be accessed.
Read more about menu management in the specific article. To direct users to the list of events look for the option "Events, General Page".
Events presentation in the app
The list of events show each event with an image and some base information. Events are sorted in a chronological order based on their end date / time.
CHECK SORT ORDER!!
Passed events are automatically moved from the list of upcoming events to passed events and can be accessed through the circular icon with the clock at the top of the event listing.
Events can be marked as highlighted placing them at the top of the event list of upcoming events regardless of their date (as long as it is not passed). When there are multiple events highlighted they themselves will be sorted chronologically. That an event is highlighted is indicated in the app with a thumbtack.

How to set up an Event
From the admin panel, click on the Event tab presenting a list of events
The search bar functionality and the listings function the same across the system. You can read more about how it works in the specific article that talks about it.
To add an event, click on the “+” sign.
You will be redirected to a new screen that will ask you to fill in every single detail about the event.
Enter the name of the event, tick whether you want to show this event in the list of events right now or you can visit the event tab back and tick the “Show in the list button”.
Enter the start date and the end date of the event, followed by the event location. It is mandatory to enter the start date of the event, however, the end date is not kept mandatory. Also, the time-stamping of events is optional. It is better to have it but not necessary.
Under Event Presentation Options, you also have the possibility to hide the date and time of an event. This means the event will still be visible in the app, but members will not see when it takes place. Hiding the date and time can be especially useful if you are creating ongoing or evergreen events (such as "Club Offers," "Weekly Specials," or "Information Sessions") where the timing is not important. It also helps if you want to highlight an event page purely for informational purposes, without confusing users with unnecessary date/time details
Now, for entering the location in the Event module, you will have to add that location in the Location module.
Once you have added that Location, you can select it from the drop-down menu that appears here in the Event module screen.
In the event image section, add the banner image for the event. The dimensions are mentioned in the image box.
The next part of the event is the description of the event.
You can play around with the CSS to design a visually appealing description.
Add images to make the Event look more engaging for the members.
The “Add link” button is hidden by default. However, if you wish to add links to your events, you can press the “Add Link” button.
If you wish to redirect your members to a page other than the application, define a label for the link and add external links.
You can select an internal link from the drop-down menu if you wish to redirect members to any page from the application.
Also, add an image to the links for better visibility.
When creating an event, you can also create an item and select the Gallery content type to display images, videos, or slideshows. Galleries allow you to present content in a visually engaging way, with options to crop images, apply filters, and organize multiple items.
