As a Loialcard administrator, the "Settings" module is a critical component that requires careful attention. This module provides full control over the application, allowing you to customize how it appears and functions for end users. The Settings module is divided into four key sub-sections:
General Settings
Each section is essential in configuring and managing the overall user experience and system behavior.
General Settings:
The first part is the admin setting. The latitude and longitude of the location are assigned by default, but you can change them at any time. The longitudes and latitudes you mention here appear as default coordinates when no location is selected on the map.
How to get longitudes and latitudes? Well, open Google Maps move the cursor on the desired location, and right-click it. The numbers you see are the longitudes and latitudes of your location. Select the number and copy and paste it, The first in the list is latitude and the second is longitude.
Note: Currently, Loialcard only accepts coordinates in the format Decimal degrees (DD): 41.40338, 2.17403. If you include Google coordinates in Degrees, minutes, and seconds (DMS): 41°24'12.2"N 2°10'26.5"E or Degrees and decimal minutes (DMM): 41 24.2028, 2 10.4418, the map doesn't function.

Next, select the app's available languages: English, Spanish, and Swedish. This article explains how to manage language in BO and the app. This selection defines the languages in which the application will be available to users. If no language selection is made by the member on the app side, the primary language is the language in which the application appears by default.
There is an option to enable an information popup. In this option, you need to enter the title of the pop-up, explain the description of the pop-up, and also enter the button text for the same. This popup appears during the member's onboarding process. Say, for example, a welcome message during the onboarding.
Onboarding Settings:
As an administrator, you can require users to upload a profile picture during onboarding. To enable this click the box labeled “Make profile image mandatory in App.” We recommend enabling this feature, as it is particularly useful for golf clubs. A verified profile picture helps ensure that members are not misusing someone else’s Golf-ID to gain access or play for free.
You can also require users to provide their first and last name during onboarding. We highly recommend enabling this, as it ensures accurate identification of members, and improves communication and personalization within the app. Collecting full names also makes it easier for clubs to manage memberships, track participation in events, and maintain accurate records for reporting or notifications.
We now provide various Login options such as Social Login or GoldId login. Selection of any of them allows you to let your members log in using either of the options.
General Settings: About Page
Some mandatory fields such as company name, company email, and company website need to be entered.
You can tick upon the Terms and conditions to use the default terms and conditions column.
Also, the admin settings allow you to select manual approval of new members. By ticking this box, you can approve every membership request received manually. This article explains membership approval in more detail.
URL Embed allows you to enter external links attached in the navigation to view with the app header and not open in an external browser. However, it is not mandatory to add all the external links attached to the URL embed. Also keep in mind that if those external web pages have cookie prompts and your app links a lot externally with URL Embed activated for those links, Apple might reject your app since they argue the tracking of user data is not clearly explained to the user.
General Settings: Text Override:
Text override options are now available under General Settings, allowing you to customize app text with ease. Simply select a language from the dropdown menu, and a list of identified text will appear. When you select an option, the tab beside it displays the original text as it appears on the app side.
You can then modify the text to suit your preferences. Any changes made will be seamlessly reflected in the application when a user opens it. Enjoy the freedom to personalize your app experience!
Branding:
The branding section of the application is organized into three distinct columns.
The first column is dedicated to logo images, where you can upload the company's logo. This is not mandatory and admins can skip uploading this.
The second column is for background images or videos, allowing you to set either an image or video as the background.
From the drop-down menu, select the appearance settings of the application to either Dark or Light. This is directly reflected in the icons that are seen on the member’s screen.
We have made it non-mandatory for the app admins to add logo images. They can decide whether they want it or they do not want to add a Logo image with a background and a Square logo.
Branding Settings: Custom Theme Support.
This section allows you to configure the color settings that determine the appearance of the home screen for members. The adjustments made here will be reflected throughout the entire application. Please note that font settings for both body and header text on individual screens cannot be modified separately. It is recommended to manage these settings centrally from this section, considering the impact they will have on all screens across the application.
There are many customization features now available in Loialcard for branding. You can read more about it in the article.
You can adjust the button color and button text color using the available color bar.
Change the transparency settings to control the transparency of the button background of the text button. The transparency settings only affect the buttons on top of images and not the white background.
Additionally, you can play around with the corner radius of the buttons displayed on the member's screen.
You also have the option to select the font style for the button text, ensuring it aligns with your desired brand design.
These customization options help create a tailored and visually appealing interface for users.
Whatever changes you initiate in this section are reflected on the member’s screen as below. Read more about how updates take place in the BO.
Also, please read more about various settings management in detail in the respective articles linked above.
